Today is the Lords day-
Now Sunday will always be the Lords day no matter what . Unfortuatley the Church (Catholic ) turned it into a 'Sabbath day' which it is not . This Sabbath argument always makes a Seventh Day Adventist happy. However, one of the Pastors at Logan Uniting Church doesn't beleive this . He simply beleives that a Sabbath day is simply a 'day of rest' .
This is total baloney !!!!
The Lord Rested on the Sabbath day to admire the work of His Creation.
As Born again Christians we should look at putting God First in everything ! This means is that God is first for our worhsip on Sunday . Not shopping , Not Bridge to Brisbane, Not Sports and where possible , not family . You should never sacrifice your worship to God Almighty by skipping worshiping God .
However there are many in the congregation that I attend because of its Fun, Fellowship and Faith Doctorine that has no Biblical basis whatsoever, that think that the Lords day is for Netball for their Kids, Is a time when we can play 'Golf' on a Sunday , or the case that 'Church is too early ' I really need a sleep in because 'lifes tough and busy '
Putting God first eh?
God should be first in our worship , our daily life , when we wake up , when we sleep .
In our marriage , our communication and relationship with others, our workplace, even our holidays.
However given the congregation that I am withs stand on this issue, my pastors my never 'upset' the flock rather than traing them into disciplship and understanding and teaching.
So we have people getting Tattoos and think it acceptable
People who go the wordly events on Sunday
People who sing songs rather than worship God
Folks that have never heard a message about Hell (the Bible talks more about this than Heaven ).
People with false conversions (Just accept Jesus into your Heart) - This is unscriptual
So we end up immitating the world , rather than the Lord Jesus Christ !
So Today maybe another service that promotes Church programs, Human Effort, volunteering rather than the Lord Jesus Christ . Stayed Tuned because the Lord may prove me wrong
